Elect –> according to foreknowledge –> in sanctification –> for obedience to Jesus Christ + sprinkling with his blood.
In these few words, the Apostle Peter debunks any notion that a person can be a Christian yet not pursue holiness or obey Jesus Christ. The whole chain is linked and flows together.
